Flowers & Packing

Last day at Anini. Mostly packed -- all except things needful before departure tomorrow morning early. I took the time during a sunny period to walk the grounds and take pictures of the many, many flowers (from every tropical region in the world) to be found in our meticulously maintained landscape.

We went down to Hanalei Gourmet, a busy dive in the middle of that burgeoning town, for a decent dinner -- nothing to write home about. On the way down I was amazed by the clarity of Kauai's perpetually cloudy mountains. This (below) is a rare view of the East Kauai mountains and the taro fields of the Hanalei River valley.
