Next morning, hotel shuttle back to OAK after the expected lamentable hotel 'continental breakfast' -- knowing there was something better in store. Caught the Airport Express to San Rafael and Santa Rosa, where Sienna fetched us home via Rustic (the pool at right -- completing the parentheses on the trip: see July 10th.

Back over the Coast Range along our twisty long driveway through the glorious, unspoiled Anderson Valley toward home. 

Stopped at Gowans for a flat of peaches, some beautiful red onions and purple beans, corn. 

Pi Cat met us -- Oh, were you gone? I hardly noticed... -- but as usual she was especially friendly for the next couple of days.

There's no place like home.
