Salt Spring Island 6 September 2019

Good to be in Canada, now that Bianca Andreescu is in the US Open tennis finals. From where we sit, high above a serene patch of the fray, it's lovely. But every day, after sunrise, the grunge obscures the eastern shore of the Salish Sea out in from of us. Here, the air is crystalline.

Maybe later we'll drive down the hill and around to the cheese company for ice cream. Maybe not.

Definitely not. We stayed home and watched the boats go by.
