The beach beckoned, and so we made our way through the gate and down the old skidroad to the beach...

The beach opens up from the mouth of Caspar creek. In the foreground, pilings mark what was once the seaward edge of the Caspar mill.

Here's one local resident that didn't want to end up on the beach. Somebody pulled off an arm, and this sea star lost its grip. We used to call these "star fish" but since they're no kind of fish, that's a misnomer. Let's remember to call them sea stars.
