Frieda’s Banana Cake

a legacy four generations old 


½ teaspoon baking soda
6 Tablespoons sour cream

3 eggs
1½ Cups mashed ripe bananas
1½ teaspoons vanilla
1¾ Cup sugar
¾ Cup butter

2¼ Cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt

Mix the baking soda and sour cream together thoroughly and let sit for five minutes, then stir in the wets and add the flour and salt. Bake at 350° for about 55 minutes.
