Driftless Wisconsin 26 August 2014

734 : 1106

A quiet day in the Driftless area of Wisconsin -- called so because the glaciers never covered this area, and so all the antique hills and valleys are still intact, and there is none of the usual silt, sand, clay, and gravel usually left behind when glaciers retreat.

Wednesday, a quiet day at home with the kidlets, and then Craig, Allicia, and we were off to Spring Green for dinner and Shaw's Doctor's Dilemma at the American Players Theater, an outdoor stage like Ashland's Elizabethan, only a bit smaller and less Shakespearean. Excellent dinner at a local brew pub, and a brilliant production. Back late.

Thursday early: away west.
