Breakfast with Zoe -- an athletic experience; here she is in a rare stationary moment -- and then on the road east, up the Columbia Gorge, across a broad plain, hills past Pendleton, the Blue Mountains to the south of us, and into the top of the Snake River watershed to Baker City and the Geiser Grand Hotel.
