For us, the day started with a good fruit breakfast and tea:
Except for the arrival (finally!) of Damiana and Rich, the day's main event was the trek to Keauhou and a Night Snorkel with Manta Rays. |

A quite extraordinary experience. The huge Mantas, some 900 pounds for a full grown one (and three of our four were full grown), sweep past your face mask inches away. Sometimes they touch – we're being meticulous about not touching them, as their skin is covered with protective mucous that, if touched firmly, leaves the equivalent of an open wound. I took video, and posted it here. |
